PLAYERS


Uniforms - What should my child wear to the game? Uniform shirts and hats are supplied by the league. The player should wear comfortable shorts or long pants.

 

Shoes - What type of shoes? Any comfortable shoe can be worn. Cleats are not allowed on the Buddy Ball field.

 

Equipment - Do players need to provide gloves, helmets, or a bat? All equipment is provided but if the player wants to bring their own, they can. It is not necessary for the parent to buy equipment.

 

Schedule - How often do we practice/play? Games are once a week and there are no practices. Once a player is assigned a team, a schedule will be sent to the parent.

 

Where are the games played? All games are played at Eastmonte Park located at 830 Magnolia Dr., Altamonte Springs, 32701.

 


BUDDIES


How do I volunteer to be a Buddy? Volunteers can just show up for any game they would like to volunteer for and instructions will be given before the game. Schedules are posted on the web site.

 

What does a Buddy do? Buddies are assigned to players and help the player hit, run and field the ball.


Can I get volunteer hours for school? Volunteer hours are given if the appropriate school form is brought and signed by any Buddy Ball Board member.

 

What age do you have to be to volunteer as a Buddy? Buddies should be at least 12 years of age to participate.

 

Can we bring a group of people to volunteer as Buddies? Groups are welcomed but need to be scheduled by sending an email to Sarah.Reece@orlandohealth.com.
